Are you a fan of the Tour de France? Or maybe you like all sorts of coffee cocktails? Bastarda Cafe is your place to be. During the weekends this place becomes a cyclists meeting point where everybody drinks a cup of coffee during their tour through Rio. Take a look at the menu on the wall and try the espresso/tonic/lemon cocktail. Besides normal espresso, Bastarda Cafe also makes a mean Hario V60 and Syphon! Did I already mention that everything in this cafe is named after a famous cyclist? Indurain, Valverde, Mercx etc. They are all there.

Sofa Cafe
Sofa Cafe is located behind the Copacabana and is a coffee shop you shouldn’t skip when in Rio. This place breathes coffee and it’s staff is very professional and helpful. The murals in this place a a joy to explore and the menu for a bite to eat is also very nice. I recommend ordering one of their own Red or Yellow Catuai espresso’s.

Isso E Cafe is located near Beco do Batman, an area with beautiful grafiti art in the heart of Villa Madalena. When you are done sightseeing, make sure to visit this place. Soul Cafe
The name Soul Cafe says it all: putting soul in coffee. The three baristas in this small but very crowded spot put all of their love in the coffee they serve. They only have one varietal on their menu, but it is always of high quality. Why not order a V60 and Aeropress brew and find out what the differences are?
